Every  RTP company employee produces a wide range of thermoplastic engineering  plastics for customers and collaborators who meet their highest  requirements for products and services. Material modification is a process in which various plastics and additives are mixed and melted. This process changes the physical, thermal, electrical and aesthetic properties of the plastic. The final product is called a modified material or composite.
The modification process begins with a plastic resin or polymer. RTP is familiar with 60 resin systems, each with its own unique characteristics that can be adapted to a particular application.
By  adding various additives, fillers and reinforcing agents, plastics can  be brought to various functions such as electrical conductivity, flame  retardancy, abrasion resistance, structural properties and  pre-dyeability. Our engineers select special additives based on their unique functional requirements. For  example, glass fibers can be used to increase the hardness of the  plastic by different amounts of addition, giving the plastic the  flexibility it did not expect.

The modification process is done in several steps. The  resin and additives are added to an extruder and mixed, melted and  extruded, and drawn into a strand with a diameter similar to that of the  yarn. After the line is cooled
It is cut into small particles. These  small particles pass through rigorous inspections and must pass at  least 10 internal quality checks before they can be delivered to  customers for injection molding or sheet extrusion.
